Our blog is where we post videos and articles from like minded individuals showing diving from around the world as well as shocking facts and figures that are aimed at making people realise just how serious the situation is at the beginning of the 21st century. Junior Open Water Course

Today we certified our first Junior Open Water divers here at Koh Jum Divers. We've had four days of pool training, theory and scuba diving.
Diving in Phi Phi was the natural highlight of the course, and our students really enjoyed the underwater adventure. They even got to see shark at their very first dive! Between dives we also saw a turtle swimming around the boat in Maya Nui.
Our Junior Open Water students did very good, and became skilled divers during the course. Congratulations to Samuel, Izabella, Cilia and Elise with the Junior Open Water certification!
Octopus in Maya Nui

She seemed to be quite calm, so my fellow diver had plenty of time to take her photo.
Not all octopuses likes to be disturbed by underwater photographers. Watch this video from New Zealand, where an octopus snatches the divers video camera and svims off with it while it is filming:

Welcome to our Blog
See what's going on at Koh Jum Divers this week. Read articles, view photos and videos, and hear from other divers. We try to update our blog weekly....
Until then you can have a look at the 2nd edition of the book Dive Sites of Krabi. This is a dive site guide to the Phi Phi National Marine Park. Below is the online version, and we have hard copies available in our dive center. The newest edition includes over 30 detailed maps of all the major dive sites around Krabi both in and outside the national marine park, plus photos and articles of all the more common species divers can expect to see in this region of Thailand. At the back of the book are the Reef Check guidelines with all the necessary forms for submitting your surveys to the Phuket Marine Biology Center.
